You don’t have to travel from Berlin to London to watch the royal wedding of Prince Harry and his fiancée Meghan Markle live; you can just attend one of the public viewing events here in Berlin!

On May 19th, 2018 Prince Harry and his fiancée Meghan Markle will tie the knot at Windsor Castle. The wedding of William and Kate in 2011 has already shown that the British royals also have a huge fan base over here in Berlin.

The British dream wedding will be broadcast on German television. But to be honest: What’s better than to indulge in the beautiful romantic scenery together with your best friends and other hopeless romantics and fans of the couple!

If you’re wondering where you can watch the wedding of the now tamed scandal prince Harry and his fiancée in Berlin, these are the places to be:

The Cottage
The Cottage is a sweet tea room in the English Rose Garden in the Gardens of the World in Berlin-Marzahn. What could be more British than watching the live broadcast of the Royal Wedding at a picnic or in a deckchair?

Between blooming perennials and fragrant roses you can not only enjoy a short British holiday in the middle of Berlin, but can also watch the wedding. The food on offer matches the theme: typical English scones, sandwiches and flapjacks from the in-house Patisserie. All dishes on the normal menu are also available.

Of course they also offer traditional tea, but you can also get a glass of prosecco or a gin and tonic at one of the two specially built bars to match the occasion.

Tip from the Top10 editors:
Ladies and gentlemen who come to The Cottage on May 19th wearing a hat or fascinator or another typical British garment (plus fours, tailcoat, top hat, kilt) get a glass of prosecco for free!

The Cottage broadcasts the wedding of Harry and Meghan from 10:30 am to 03:00 pm. Admission is free.

Hotel Bristol Berlin
The luxurious Hotel Bristol Berlin at Kurfürstendamm also celebrates the wedding of Prince Harry and his Meghan in a very British style. The TV live broadcast will be shown in true style on a TV set in the Bristol Café from 11:00 am to 03:30 pm.

Tea delicacies from Teehaus Ronnefeldt are served with tea biscuits. The public viewing of the Royal Wedding is shown here in a more intimate setting as the Bristol Café offers a maximum of 60 seats. The price level for delicious snacks is between 3.00 – 12.00 Euro.

The luxury hotel at Kurfürstendamm was the first five-star hotel in Berlin. The Hotel Bristol Berlin is thus regarded as the „grande dame“ of Berlin’s hotel industry and has set high standards. In 1952 it was opened as the first luxury hotel in the west of the divided city and quickly became the focus of social life: John F. Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, Herbert von Karajan and artists such as Hilde Knef and Curd Jürgens stayed here – just the right setting for a stylish public viewing of a dream wedding. Admission is free.

Berliner Kaffeerösterei
Berliner Kaffeerösterei (Berlin coffee rostery) at Uhlandstraße is known for its excellent coffee and fine teas. In the intimate atmosphere of the library of the coffee house Harry and Meghan’s wedding is celebrated in a small setting.

The library is the reading café of the coffee house and has 16 seats and small square wooden tables in front of a set of book shelves. The Royal Wedding 2018 will be accompanied by stylish wedding cake tartlets, royal wedding cake with raspberries and a British tea cake stand (24.95 Euro including tea). The live broadcast of the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be shown from 11:00 am – 02:00 pm on a video projector in the library. Reservations are not required.

Café Rizz
Café Rizz in Berlin-Kreuzberg will host a public viewing event for the royal wedding in a very informal, relaxed way. The Rizz is not just a café; it’s also a down-to-earth restaurant and bar. There is food throughout the whole day, and you can enjoy a good breakfast here until 6 pm as well as burgers and homemade cakes.

If the weather is good, the entire TV broadcast is shown outside on a large-screen TV. If it’s raining it will be shown inside on a large screen. The café has 100 seats, but has already got several reservations for the royal wedding on May 19th, which is why a reservation is recommended.

Admission is free, large drinks are available from 4.00 Euro and up. For the wedding transmission there is beer on tap!
